A Day of Caring

Schneider Tree Care is participating in "A Day of Caring" with Brickman and Liberty Property Management at Lifespan on Graham. The team will be performing a half day of pruning while providing Lifespan with 13 yards of mulch at no cost to the facility.

The team will perform much needed tree pruning for the trees around the facility. The work is important not just for beautification, but also safety. As Ryan Chipman, Certified Arborist explains," Trees that are over grown and have dead limbs pose a serious threat to both the facility, as well as, people. Keeping your trees pruned will make them more wind resistant, beautiful, and less susceptible to disease."

As Ryan explained in greater detail, that the pruning will help the trees to concentrate water and nutrients in the strongest limbs strengthening the overall structure of the tree and if a tress is allowed to take its natural course, it will shed limbs that do not produce well on its own. When this happens, the tree will usually have a large wound and splintery gash that will not seal on its own.
